A Night of "BIG NUMBERS" at Purcell Pavilion


A Notre Dame basketball "doubleheader" took place tonight at Purcell Pavilion as Muffet's #3 Irish defeated UMASS-Lowell 105 - 51 and Mike Brey's Irish beat Binghamton 82 - 39.

The largest margin of victory in a basketball doubleheader in Notre Dame history -- 97 points!

Here's the "BIG NUMBERS" from the night:
  • Brianna Turner scored 22 points in the first half, 29 in total -- setting a freshman single game scoring record in her first college start!
  • Pat Connaughton scored his 1,000th career point, becoming the 56th player in the 110 year history of ND Men's Basketball to reach that milestone
  • And, Mike Brey won his 400th career game in his 19 years as a head coach -- he's now 400 - 211 in his career.

A Stat Notre Dame Football is Not Proud Of...


Through 9 games this season -- Notre Dame has given up 78 points on turnovers this season -- the 16th most among the 128 teams in the FBS.

The most among teams with a winning record in college football.

Notre Dame has given up 228 points this season -- which means 34% of all points the Irish have given up have been the result of a TURNOVER...

Coach Brian Kelly With Media Last Night...


The Fighting Irish practiced in a snow storm Thursday afternoon -- getting ready for Saturday's game with Northwestern.

South Bend received a record 12.3" of snow yesterday.  The photos above were taken of their practice at Notre Dame Stadium late yesterday.
